UV-P ultraviolet absorber is a chemical substance widely used in daily cosmetics, skin care products and sunscreen products. Its main function is to effectively absorb and transform ultraviolet rays, thereby protecting the skin from ultraviolet damage. In addition, UV-P is also used as a UV absorber for certain plastics, rubbers and coatings to improve the UV protection properties of these materials.

Features and uses

1.Colorless or light yellow crystals: UV-P is in the form of colorless or light yellow crystals with a clear appearance.

2.Good solubility: It can be dissolved in a variety of organic solvents, such as gasoline, benzene, acetone, etc., but its solubility in water is extremely small, and it is not easily decomposed by concentrated alkali and concentrated acid.

3.Not sensitive to metal ions: therefore not affected by metal ions.

4.High stability: It has good stability, has strong absorption of ultraviolet light, and can effectively protect materials from ultraviolet damage.

5.Strong thermal stability: It also shows good stability under high temperature conditions and is suitable for plastic products that require high temperature processing.

6.Non-flammable, non-toxic: non-flammable, non-explosive, non-toxic and harmless, safe to use.

Almost no visible light absorption: Almost no visible light absorption, especially suitable for colorless, transparent and light-colored products.

Recommended dosage

In different types of polymers, the amount of UV-P added is slightly different. The following is the range of recommended amounts:

Polystyrene polymers: polystyrene (0.2-0.5%), ABS resin (0.3-0.5%), high-impact polystyrene (0.5-2.0%).

Polyvinyl chloride: 0.2 - 0.5%.

Polyurethane: 0.3 - 1.0%.

Polycarbonate: 0.15-0.3%.

Polyacrylate: 0.15-0.3%.

Unsaturated polyester: 0.2 - 0.4%.

Packaging specifications:

This product is made of 25KG carton or 25KG cardboard drum or 50kg cardboard drum, lined with plastic bags, and can also be customized according to customer requirements.

Store in a cool, dry and ventilated place, away from direct sunlight. In a dry area below 25°C, the shelf life is two years.
