Thermal stabilisation and synergistic systems
The compound can increase the thermal decomposition temperature of silane system by 30-50℃ by forming a three-dimensional network structure with silane material through the condensation reaction of silicon hydroxyl group. Under 180-220℃ working conditions, its phenyl site-blocking effect can effectively inhibit the thermal movement of molecular chain segments, so that the modified sealants, high temperature coatings and composites maintain more than 90% mechanical strength retention rate.
Nano-scale hydrophobic protection
Based on the superhydrophobic property of contact angle >110°, its self-assembled single molecule membranes (SAMs) can form a dense protective layer (film thickness ≤50nm) on the surface of glass, metal and polymer substrates, and the water vapour transmission rate (WVTR) is reduced to less than 1.5g/m²-day, which is especially suitable for the long-lasting moisture-proofing treatment of microelectronic packages, optical lenses and new energy battery separators and other precision devices.
Multi-phase interface coupling technology
As a bridging coupling agent, its methoxyl end can form Si-O-Si chemical bond with inorganic fillers (e.g. SiO₂, Al₂O₃), while the organic end can produce strong interaction with polymer matrix through π-π stacking, which can increase the interlayer shear strength of composites by 2-3 times (ASTM D3165 standard test).
Dispersion-crosslinking synergistic systems
In the solvent-based system, the compound achieves stable dispersion of nanoparticles with zeta potential >|40mV| through spatial site resistance effect (CV value of particle size distribution <15% as measured by DLS); at the same time, as a controllable cross-linking agent, it can trigger radical grafting reaction to form a three-dimensional network structure with a cross-linking density of 0.8-1.2 mol/m³, which can improve the modulus of elastomer by 300-500%.
Trace moisture trapping agent
In polyurethane synthesis, silicon-hydrogen addition and other moisture-sensitive reactions, its methoxyl can be quantitatively hydrolysed with trace water (>200ppm) in the system (1mol silane captures 2mol H₂O), with Dean-Stark water splitting device to achieve the control of the system's water content <50ppm (Karl Fischer method) to ensure that polycondensation reaction conversion rate of >98%.
