Utilizare agricolă

Diethyl malonate is a key intermediate in the synthesis of herbicides and pesticides, especially indispensable in the production of sulfonylurea herbicides. It is involved in the synthesis of effective herbicides such as Bensulfuron and Pyrazosulfuron, and helps to increase crop yields and control weeds by reacting with other chemicals to form compounds that inhibit weed growth.
