Properties and Usage:

Polyacrylamide (PAM for short) is a polymer compound with flocculation, thickening and gel properties. It is used in water treatment, oil extraction, papermaking industry, agriculture, cosmetics, medicine, textile industry and building materials industry.

1. Water treatment
Drinking water treatment: As a flocculant, PAM helps remove suspended particles, colloidal substances and sediments in water, thereby improving water quality and clarity.
Wastewater treatment: In industrial wastewater and sewage treatment, PAM promotes the aggregation of solid particles to form larger sediments, which is convenient for subsequent separation and treatment.

2. Oil extraction
Drilling fluid additive: During oil drilling, PAM is used to increase the viscosity and stability of drilling fluid and reduce leakage and loss.
Improve oil recovery efficiency: As an oil displacement agent, PAM helps improve oil field oil recovery rate and oil recovery rate, especially in oil field water injection and enhanced oil recovery technology.

3. Papermaking industry
