Properties and Usage:
Photoinitiator 2959 is a highly efficient, non-yellowing UV photoinitiator that has been tested and proven to perform well in UV curing formulations on wood, metal, plastic and paper surfaces. Its unique molecular structure contains hydroxyl functional groups, which improves its solubility in water-based coating formulations, making its application in water-based UV formulations more convenient.
Compared with photoinitiator 1173, photoinitiator 2959 has lower volatility and odor, making it more comfortable during use. In addition, the active hydroxyl group of photoinitiator 2959 can be easily grafted onto polymer molecules, making processing more convenient and enhancing the plasticity of the product.
2959 is a cleavage-type free radical photoinitiator, especially suitable for UV polymerization of acrylic and unsaturated polyester resins that require low odor and water-based properties. Its characteristics of low odor, low volatility and low yellowing enable it to be widely used in adhesives that are not in direct contact with food and comply with relevant standards.
The recommended dosage of PI2959 in UV formulations is 2–5%. In the UV-curable water-based glazing oligomer system for paper, the optimal dosage of PI2959 is 0.6%, which can achieve the best gloss, smoothness and wear resistance, and at the same time achieve a rapid increase in UV curing rate.

Storage and transportation:
