O-Phthalaldehyde is an important organic chemical widely used in chemical analysis, organic synthesis and fluorescence detection.

Chemical analysis reagent

O-O-Phthalaldehyde is commonly used as an analytical reagent, especially in fluorescence detection, as an amine alkaloid reagent for the determination of primary amines and peptide bond decomposers.

O-Phthalaldehyde is a key intermediate in organic synthesis and is widely used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and fragrances.
