Product Description：Chlorogenic acid is a phenylpropanoid compound produced by the mango acid pathway during aerobic respiration of plants. It is widely found in many plants, such as honeysuckle, asteraceae tarragon, eucommia leaves, sunflower seeds and coffee beans. Its molecular structure contains an ester bond and an unsaturated double bond, as well as multiple hydroxyl groups and phenolic hydroxyl groups, which makes its chemical properties relatively unstable and easily affected by light and heat. Chlorogenic acid exhibits extremely strong antioxidant and free radical scavenging effects due to its unique molecular structure.

Application areas and used:

Chlorogenic acid is an ester formed by the condensation of caffeic acid and quinic acid and belongs to the phenolic compound. The ortho-diphenolic hydroxyl group in its structure gives it strong reducing properties, making it more susceptible to free radical oxidation, thus showing excellent antioxidant and anti-lipid peroxidation properties.

1. Antibacterial and antiviral:

Chlorogenic acid has a wide range of antibacterial effects and has a significant inhibitory effect on a variety of bacteria such as hemolytic streptococci, Shigella dysenteriae, and Salmonella typhi. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) for Staphylococcus aureus is 400ng/ml.

It also has antiviral effects, can inhibit viral replication, and is an effective antiviral ingredient.
