Properties and Usage:

L-Lactide is a cyclic dimer of lactic acid. As a dimer of lactic acid compounds, it has important applications in the production of biodegradable plastics, medical devices, textile industry and environmentally friendly materials.

1. Biodegradable plastics

L-Lactide is used to produce polylactic acid (PLA), a biodegradable thermoplastic used in food packaging, disposable tableware, textiles and agricultural films.

2. Medical field

In the medical field, L-lactide is used to prepare degradable medical devices and implants, such as sutures, drug delivery systems and tissue engineering scaffolds.

3. Textile industry
