Application areas and used::

 

1.Polymer production

It is a key ingredient in the production of polyester fibers such as polyester and raw materials for plastics. Many important industrial materials such as polyester resin, PET copolymer resin and alkyd resin use isophthalic acid as the starting raw material.

 

2.Special applications

In addition to its wide application in polymer production, isophthalic acid can also be used as an intermediate for colorants, catalysts and surfactants.

 

3. Unsaturated polyester resin and PET copolymer resin

Isophthalic acid is an indispensable raw material in the production of unsaturated polyester resin and PET copolymer resin. These materials are widely used in the automotive, construction, electronics and other industries, providing a reliable foundation for the manufacture of precision, complex high-temperature-resistant insulating parts and impregnated laminated materials.

 

4. Synthesis of new materials

Isophthalic acid is also an important raw material for the synthesis of new materials. For example, polyallyl isophthalate (DAIP) resin, diethyl isophthalate (DEIP), a special solvent used in the production of toluene diisocyanate, and an additive with good compatibility for a variety of resins.
