Properties and Usage:
1. Photovoltaic materials
Indium sulfide is used in thin-film solar cells due to its wide bandgap semiconductor properties. As an absorption layer material, it has high photoelectric conversion efficiency and stability.
2. Photocatalytic applications
Indium sulfide has excellent photocatalytic activity under visible light and can be used for water decomposition to produce hydrogen and degradation of organic pollutants.
3. Optoelectronics and display technology
Indium sulfide has the ability to emit light within a specific wavelength range and is used in light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and other optoelectronic devices. It can emit light from yellow to red.
4. Gas sensors
Indium sulfide can sensitively detect harmful gases such as hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide, and is a material for making gas sensors.
5. Optical anti-reflective coatings
With its high refractive index and good optical properties, indium sulfide is used in anti-reflective coatings in optical devices, which can effectively reduce light reflection and increase light transmittance.
