Properties and Usage:

Diethyltoluenediamine (CAS 68479-98-1), referred to as DETDA, is commonly used in polyurethane, epoxy resin, spray polyurea and other fields.

1. Polyurethane industry

DETDA is used as a chain extender and curing agent in the production of high-strength polyurethane elastomers, thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and polyurethane coatings, which can improve the chemical resistance and high temperature performance of polyurethane materials.

2. Epoxy resin curing agent

In the production of high-performance coatings, adhesives and composite materials, DETDA is used as a curing agent to improve the heat resistance and electrical properties of materials, especially suitable for aerospace, automotive and electronics industries.

3. Spray polyurea (SPUA)

DETDA is a key component of high-performance polyurea coatings, used for anti-corrosion, waterproof and wear-resistant coatings, and is widely used in bridges, storage tanks, tunnels and sewage treatment facilities to provide long-term protection.

4. Engineering plastics and composites

As a cross-linking agent, DETDA gives engineering plastics and composites high strength, anti-aging and heat resistance, and is used in the manufacture of high-end engineering plastics.
