Properties and Usage:

D-Glucosamine hydrochloride (CAS 66-84-2) is a natural aminosugar which is mainly used in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries.

1. Used in the treatment of bone and joint diseases

D-Glucosamine HCL promotes the repair and metabolism of articular cartilage by stimulating the synthesis of proteoglycans by articular chondrocytes and inhibits the activity of cartilage-destroying enzymes (e.g. collagenase), thus slowing down joint degeneration and pain.

2. Antibiotic booster

D-Glucosamine HCL can be used as a potentiator of antibiotics, by promoting drug absorption and enhancing the efficacy, in antibiotic injection therapy, to help improve the therapeutic effect and enhance the resistance to infection.

Anti-cancer effects

In the synthesis of the anti-cancer drug chlorourethromycin, D-Glucosamine HCL can enhance the water solubility of the drug by promoting the N-glycosylation reaction and reduce the myelotoxicity of the drug, thus improving its efficacy against melanoma, lung cancer and kidney cancer.

Diabetic Nutritional Supplement

D-Glucosamine HCL contributes to normal glucose metabolism, supports the synthesis of UDP-N-Acetylglucosamine (UDP-GlcNAc), promotes cellular repair and immune function, and maintains homeostasis in the body.
