Product Description:
Benzoyl Peroxide is a highly effective organic peroxide commonly used in a variety of industrial applications. Due to its easy decomposition characteristics, it is widely used as a polymerization initiator and curing agent. Benzoyl Peroxide decomposes rapidly when heated to 100°C and can cause explosions in sealed containers, so it needs to be handled as a hazardous material.
Benzoyl Peroxide is sensitive to impact and friction and has a greater explosion hazard. Therefore, special care should be taken during use and storage to avoid contact with metallic powders, activated carbon and reducing agents. In addition, in order to prevent the risk of fire and explosion, it is usually diluted to about 20% before use. Common matching products during dilution include calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, calcium sulfate, magnesium carbonate, alum and starch.

Application areas and used:
1. Polymerization Initiator: Benzoyl Peroxide is an important initiator for the polymerization of monomers such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), unsaturated polyesters, and polyacrylates. This application is widely used in the plastics and resin industries.
2. Analytical Reagent: In laboratories, Benzoyl Peroxide is often used as an analytical reagent and oxidant.
3. Curing agent: In the curing process of unsaturated polyester resin, dibenzoyl peroxide plays a key role to ensure the hardness and stability of the material.
4. Rubber vulcanizer and crosslinker: In the rubber industry, dibenzoyl peroxide is used for the vulcanization and crosslinking of silicone rubber and fluororubber
5. Food industry improver: As a starch improver, dibenzoyl peroxide has a whitening effect on wheat flour, and can also be said to be a bleaching agent. Improve the appearance of food
Safety precautions
Due to the hazardous properties of dibenzoyl peroxide, safety regulations must be strictly observed during use and storage:
