1. As a formaldehyde scavenger:

2-Imidazolidinone as a formaldehyde scavenger can reduce the formaldehyde content in fabrics (such as fabrics treated with 2D-resins, KB resins, urea-formaldehyde resins, melamine-formaldehyde resins, etc.).

2. Intermediate of fine chemicals:

2-Imidazolidinone is a fine chemical for making resins, plasticizers, spray paints and adhesives. In the synthesis of resins, it can improve the durability and chemical resistance of resins.

3. Other roles in organic synthesis:
