Application areas and used:
L-Valine is a key essential amino acid, presenting as white monoclinic crystals or crystalline powder. After heavy washing with ethanol and aqueous solution, it forms colorless flakes or scaly crystals. L-Valine is odorless, has a unique bitter taste, and its melting point is about 315℃. In a 5% aqueous solution, the pH value is 5.5 to 7.0, showing good stability to heat, light and air. It is easily soluble in water (at 25℃, the solubility is 8.85g/100ml), but almost insoluble in ethanol and ether.
1. Nutritional Supplement
L-Valine, as a nutritional supplement, is often added to amino acid infusions and comprehensive amino acid preparations to meet the human body's needs for essential amino acids.
2. Food additives
In the food industry, adding valine (1g/kg) to rice cakes can give the product a sesame flavor, while adding it to bread can significantly improve the flavor.
3. Amino acid drugs
As one of the three branched-chain amino acids, L-valine has important applications in the medical field. It is one of the essential amino acids for the human body and can be used to treat liver failure and central nervous system dysfunction. L-valine deficiency may lead to neurological disorders, developmental stagnation, weight loss and anemia.
4. Biochemical research and tissue culture
L-valine also plays an indispensable role in biochemical research and the preparation of tissue culture media. Its purity and stability make it the preferred reagent for researchers and laboratories to ensure the reliability and repeatability of experimental results.
Importance and demand
L-valine is an essential amino acid that cannot be synthesized by the human body and must be obtained through diet or supplements. For adult men, the daily requirement is 10mg/kg. L-valine has significant physiological effects and can support muscle metabolism, repair tissues, maintain nitrogen balance, and provide the body with necessary energy.
