1.Role of coupling agent

As a silane coupling agent, 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane (CAS 2530-87-2) enhances the adhesion between materials by reacting with the surfaces of organic (e.g., polymers, resins) and inorganic (e.g., glass, metals) materials to form stable chemical bonds.

2.Intermediates for Silane Coupling Agents

During the production of silane coupling agents, 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane is able to react with other organic or inorganic materials to form different types of coupling agents, which are used in coatings, adhesives, sealants, plastics, and rubbers to enhance the adhesion, temperature resistance, and chemical resistance of products.

3.Modified Materials

3-Chloropropyltrimethoxysilane can be used in the modification treatment of glass fibre reinforced plastics, rubber and other composite materials. It effectively improves the adhesion, temperature resistance and corrosion resistance of materials.
