Solvent Applications

2-Chloropropane（CAS 75-29-6）can effectively dissolve many organic compounds, and is a highly efficient organic solvent in industrial production processes such as chemicals, paints, inks, and detergents.

Chemical intermediate

2-Chloropropane is involved in the manufacture of acrylic acid, acrylonitrile, propylene oxide and other chemicals. Through further chemical reactions, 2-chloropropane can be used to prepare polymer compounds such as PVC (polyvinyl chloride).

Agricultural Applications

2-Chloropropane has a certain insecticidal effect and is often used as a raw material or solvent for pesticides. It is an important intermediate in a variety of pesticides (e.g., cypermethrin, toxaphene), helping to improve crop protection.

Gas Synthesis and Chemical Reactions

2-Chloropropane can be used as a raw material or reactant for synthetic gases (e.g. chlorine, hydrogen, etc.) and is used in the production of chemicals in the refining of oil and natural gas, especially in the manufacture of synthetic gases and certain industrial gases.
