1. Agricultural applications: As an efficient soil fumigant, 1,3-dichloropropylene can effectively kill root-knot nematodes and soil-borne diseases, and improve the yield and quality of crops such as fruit trees and vegetables.
2. Chemical intermediates: Used in the synthesis of pesticides, plastics, resins and drugs, especially in the production of herbicides and insecticides.
3. Synthetic rubber: In the rubber industry, 1,3-dichloropropylene is used to produce high-performance rubber materials that are resistant to high temperatures and wear.
