Product Overview
Foconsci supplies Type A fine-pore silica gel desiccants for moisture protection and for removing water vapor from air and industrial gases. Our silica gel desiccant range includes white silica gel, blue indicating silica gel and orange indicating silica gel.
White silica gel is the basic non-indicating grade. It is mainly used as the filling material for desiccant sachets that protect electronic products, instruments, metal parts, leather goods and other packaged products from moisture during storage and transportation.
Blue silica gel is one of our main desiccant products. It is blue when dry and gradually turns pink after adsorbing moisture. This clear color change allows users to see when the desiccant needs to be replaced or regenerated. It is mainly used in transformer breathers, air dryers and industrial drying equipment.
Orange silica gel is our newly developed environmentally friendly indicator. It is an upgraded product of blue silica gel. It retains the visible moisture-indication function but uses a cobalt-free composite moisture indicator, reducing the environmental and handling concerns associated with conventional cobalt-based indicators. The beads are orange when dry and turn green after adsorbing moisture.
Unlike calcium chloride desiccants, silica gel stays solid after absorbing moisture. It does not turn into liquid brine. This reduces the risk of liquid leakage around electronics, optical equipment and metal parts.
Silica gel beads can be filled directly into transformer breathers, drying columns and desiccant cartridges or used as the raw material for desiccant sachets. When a visible moisture signal is required but a full indicating fill is unnecessary, white silica gel can be blended with a smaller amount of blue or orange indicating silica gel.

Packaging and Storage
Packaging: 25 kg bag or fiber drum
Silica gel begins adsorbing moisture as soon as the package is opened. Open the bag only when the material is ready to be filled into sachets, breathers or drying equipment.
Store silica gel in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Keep the original packaging tightly closed and protect it from water, steam and humid air.
