Properties and Usage:
Lead monoxide (OPb), also known as lead yellow or red lead.
1. Lead-acid battery
Lead monoxide is the core raw material of lead-acid batteries. It is mainly used in the production of battery plates. It has good conductivity and stability, and improves the energy storage efficiency and cycle life of the battery.
2. Optical glass and ceramics
In the production of optical glass and lead crystal glass, lead monoxide is used to improve transparency, optical properties and density. It is also used as a flux and glaze to enhance the gloss and color of ceramics.
3. Paint and pigment
Lead monoxide is used to produce red and yellow pigments. It has excellent light resistance and stability and is used in paints and industrial coatings. In addition, it is also used in the preparation of drying agents to increase the drying speed of paints.
4. Chemical and electronic industries
As a catalyst, lead monoxide can accelerate certain chemical reactions. In the electronics industry, it is mainly used to manufacture electronic components such as diodes and sensors, and has good electrical properties.
5. Plastic and rubber industry
Lead monoxide is used as a stabilizer for PVC plastics to prevent plastics from decomposing at high temperatures and extend the service life of products. In the rubber industry, it acts as an antioxidant, improving weather resistance and mechanical properties.
Storage conditions: Storage precautions Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. The warehouse temperature should not exceed 35℃ and the relative humidity should not exceed 80%. Package and seal. Store away from light. Store separately from acids, alkalis, and edible chemicals, and avoid mixing. The storage area should be equipped with appropriate materials to contain leaks.
