Triphenyl phosphite, TPP for short, also known as triphenoxyphosphine, is a phosphite compound. As an efficient auxiliary antioxidant and light stabilizer, TPP plays a key role in a variety of polymer materials.
Properties and Usage:
1.Enhance plastic transparency and color stability: TPP is particularly suitable for materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyester, ABS resin and epoxy resin. It helps maintain high transparency of products and effectively suppresses color changes.
2.Flame retardant and antioxidant effect: The use of TPP in engineering plastics and phenolic resins containing halogen flame retardants can significantly improve the flame retardant properties and oxidative stability of the materials.
3.Chelating agent function: TPP is widely used as a chelating agent for polyvinyl chloride to reduce the harm of metal chlorides in metal soap stabilizers and enhance the performance of the main stabilizer.
4.Intermediates for pesticides and other chemical products: TPP is also used to synthesize a variety of chemical products, including pesticides and some special resins and plastics.
Features and Benefits
5.Excellent transparency and water resistance: As a plasticizer for fiber films, TPP provides excellent transparency and water resistance, and is suitable for applications requiring high transparency.
6.Good compatibility: Good compatibility with a variety of materials, allowing it to be widely used in various plastic and rubber products.
7.Low toxicity: TPP’s low toxicity properties make it suitable for contact-sensitive applications such as plastic manufacturing of medical devices.
