Trioxymethylene (CAS 110-88-3) is a colorless crystal with a slightly pungent odor. It is a trimer of formaldehyde. It has stable chemical properties and can be decomposed to release formaldehyde under heating or acidic conditions.

1. Polyoxymethylene (POM) production Trioxymethylene is a key raw material for polyoxymethylene resin (POM). POM is widely used in the production of automotive parts, electronic appliances, mechanical equipment and consumer products due to its excellent mechanical properties (such as high strength, high rigidity, wear resistance and low friction coefficient).

2. Organische synthese
