Hexafluoroisopropanolum, abbreviatum ut HFIP, habet excellentem polaritatem et unicum effectum atomorum fluorinis et est solventia maxime polaris.

 

1. Solventium altius performantiae

HFIP est solventium valde polaris, praecipue in technicis analyticis utendo, sicut chromatographia liquida performans (HPLC) et resonantia magnetica nuclearis (NMR). Potest efficaciter resolvere composita insolubilia, praesertim fluorida et polymers polaris.

 

2. Scientia polymerum et materialium

In synthesis polymerum, HFIP utiturur ut solventium et medium reactionis ad dissolvendum certos polymers et materiales polymerorum.

 

3. Tractatio superficiei
