1. Polymer Chemistry

N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide is the core raw material for preparing cross-linked polymers, especially in free radical polymerization reactions, for the production of polyacrylamide gel (PAA). In polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE), it is used to separate nucleic acids and proteins. Copolymerized with acrylic acid monomers, it is used to produce super absorbent resins (SAP), such as agricultural irrigation materials and sanitary products (such as diapers).

2. Biomedical Field

N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide is co-polymerized with water-soluble monomers to form hydrogels, which are used in drug controlled release systems to improve the controllability and sustainability of drug release.
