Bismuth Sulfide Applications
Brake and Clutch Friction Materials
Bismuth Sulfide is added to disc brake pads, drum brake linings, brake shoes and clutch linings as a solid lubricant and friction modifier. Bismuth Sulfide can also be combined with MoS₂, SnS, SnS₂, FeS, graphite and other friction additives.
Industrial Lubricants and Self-Lubricating Materials
Bismuth Sulfide is used in heavy-duty lubricating grease for open gears, pinions and mining machinery. It provides solid lubrication when equipment operates under high load and slow movement.
Semiconductor and Advanced Material Production
High-purity Bismuth Sulfide is used as a source material for preparing Bi₂S₃ thin films, nanosheets, nanorods and composite materials.
Its light absorption and semiconductor properties make it useful for photodetectors, photosensitive materials, solar-cell research, infrared devices and thermoelectric studies.
Bismuth Compound Synthesis
Bismuth Sulfide can be used as a starting material for preparing other bismuth compounds and specialty inorganic materials.
Packaging and Storage
This product is packed in 25kg bag, and it can also be customized according to customers’ requirements
Store Bismuth Sulfide in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep the container tightly closed and protect the powder from moisture and outside contamination. Keep it away from strong acids and strong oxidizing agents.
