Foconsci’s DCOIT is a dry-film biocide used to control mold, fungi and algae in coatings, plastics, wood and other materials exposed to moisture.

DCOIT has low water solubility, its active ingredients can stay inside the finished paint film or material and will not wash away quickly. This property makes DCOIT especially suitable for exterior coatings, polymer products and other applications that need long-term surface protection.

DCOIT is also used in marine antifouling coatings to control biological growth on ships and marine structures.

Applications of DCOIT

Paints and Coatings: DCOIT protects dry paint films from mold and fungal growth. Its low water solubility makes it suitable for exterior coatings that face rain and humidity.

Marine Antifouling Coatings: DCOIT controls algae and other fouling organisms in antifouling paints for ships and marine structures.

Plastics and Polymer Products: DCOIT can be added to plastics, films and polymer compounds to reduce mold and microbial growth on the finished surface.

Wood Preservation: DCOIT protects treated wood from fungal attack and can be used in wood-preservative systems for pressure-treated and exterior wood products.

Sealants, Adhesives and Related Materials: DCOIT can also protect dry sealants, adhesives and similar polymer-based products where mold growth on the finished material is a concern.

Packaging and Storage

Our DCOIT powder is packed in 25 kg fiber drum.

Keep DCOIT in tightly sealed packaging and protect it from heat and direct sunlight.

Because high-content DCOIT melts near 40°C, prolonged exposure to high temperatures can change the product from powder or solid into a softer or waxy form. Keep the package cool during storage and transport.
